Our Story

TRYBS (est. 1999), formerly known as Lumbini Garden Youth Club and Mettaworld is an initiative by the Youth Section at Ti-Ratana Buddhist Society.

TRYBS was formerly active from 1999 to 2009 as TRYBS, then Lumbini Garden Youth Club from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, TRYBS was dissolved due to a lack of committees. In 2020, TRYBS was revived as Mettaworld by Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden. In 2021, at the request of The Buddhist Chief High Priest of Malaysia Venerable Datuk Dr. K. Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thero, TRYBS was re-established.

At TRYBS, we believe that we, the youth of today are the very essence of tomorrow. Who we are tomorrow is the outcome of how they are raised and nurtured today.

 

As a Buddhist Youth Organization, through faith, wisdom, and compassion we go above and beyond to provide our youth an empowering environment where they can fully embrace their identity and gain all the skills they need to be leaders tomorrow.

Our goals are to make the world a better place today for a better tomorrow.
